Registered Counsellor - Child and AdolescentLeanne specialises in counselling children, adolescents and young adults, addressing a wide range of concerns such as depression, anxiety, stress, burnout, grief, phobias, addiction, behavioural issues, eating disorders, as well as working on social, organisational and study skills.
Leanne obtained an undergraduate Psychology degree (Summa cum laude) from the United States and completed her postgraduate Master of Counselling programme from Australia. She is a member with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and is currently working towards becoming a registered counsellor of the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC). Over the years, Leanne has had the privilege of working in social service agencies, charitable organisations, as well as the private practice sector.
Leanne adopts a client-centred approach, focusing on exploring each individual's strengths to help them on their journey in building a meaningful life that is aligned with their personal values. She aims to form an empathetic and collaborative relationship with her clients, working closely with their families, teachers and other professionals to provide a holistic and supportive network. Leanne tailors her sessions according to each client’s unique needs using a variety of evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness-based approaches and Attachment-oriented interventions.
Leanne is fluent in both English and Mandarin.
