
Lim Kit Kwan
Educational Psychologist, Registered Psychologist, Singapore Psychological SocietyKit Kwan is a Singapore Registered Psychologist (SRP) and an Approved SRP Supervisor by the Singapore Psychological Society. She obtained her Masters in Arts (Applied Psychology), with specialization in Educational Psychology from the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and Bachelor of Social Science with Honours (2nd Class, Upper Division) in Psychology from the National University of Singapore.
She has more than 10 years of experience in assessment and testing, and working with children and teens with special needs such as Autism, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, behavioural and emotional difficulties, as well as with their families. She has worked in early intervention centres, special education schools, integrated preschool setting, as well as a private enrichment centre that has mainstream students with special needs.
With regards to working with caregivers to build resilience and emotional health in neurotypical children, she is also a certified facilitator in the research-based, evidence-informed “Good Enough Parenting” model, which is predicated on Schema Therapy. She is also cognizant in the use of behavioural learning principles to help parents manage difficult behaviours in their pre-schoolers and young children, and to teach the latter more adaptive skills.
