Art Therapist & CounsellorAngeline is a registered art therapist with the Australian New Zealand Art Therapists’ Association and is a board member of the Art Therapists’ Association of Singapore. She holds a Masters degree in Art Therapy from LASALLE College of the Arts/ Goldsmiths University, London.
Angeline’s clinical experience includes clients of all ages & backgrounds addressing various emotional, psychological & behavioural challenges: Depression, Anxiety, OCD, Self-Harm, Suicidal Ideation, Grief/Loss, Anger Management, Childhood Abuse, Psychosis, Acute Stress, Trauma & Complex PTSD. Previous internships/volunteer settings included primary schools, Childrens’ homes, SAMH (Singapore Association of Mental Health), Cancer & Palliative settings, Depression & Bipolar support groups & Family Service Centers. In her work with adolescents with trauma (Girls Homes), she facilitated building their experiences of ‘safeness’, creative expression & self-actualisation to activate healing & integration; This work is informed by Traumatology, Trauma Informed Art psychotherapy, Neuroscience, Developmental Psychology, Attachment and the Expressive Therapies Continuum.
She has also run various art therapy workshops (Psychoeducational & Support groups) for Stress Management, Trauma Support, Grief Counselling, Single Mothers Support, Youth at Risk and Parenting Teens. She believes in enabling her clients through a holistic approach facilitating a body/mind/spirit connection to aid creative/ psychological growth and new insights leading to a life of creativity, resilience & purpose aligned to personal values. She offers counselling and art psychotherapy following an integrative framework tailored to meet each unique client based on Dynamic (psychodynamic psychotherapy), Cognitive/Behavioural (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Positive Psychology & Solution Focused Brief Therapy; Relational (Compassion Focused Therapy, Person-Centred Experiential & Existential Well-Being Counselling, Attachment & Emotion Focused Therapy).
