Registered Art Psychotherapist & CounsellorAngeline is a registered Art Psychotherapist (Singapore & Australia) and an allied member of Singapore Association for Counselling. She holds a Masters degree in Art Therapy from Goldsmiths University, London / LASALLE College of the Arts.
Her special interest lies in the field of Trauma recovery and treatment for various traumas: Acute, PTSD, CPTSD, Childhood Trauma, Relational Trauma, Trauma Related Dissociation and Developmental Trauma. Her approach is client-centred, collaborative, compassion-focused, strengths-based, solution focused and aims for post traumatic growth in all aspects.
Employing evidence based practices, through an attachment and neuroscience lens, Angeline is able to bring the therapeutic properties of art (creativity, imagination, implicit imagery, sensorimotor processing, holistic engagement & media manipulation) in the service of healing, reconnecting with lost parts of self and building new neural pathways.
She understands the pervasive nature of trauma and how it may manifest in various areas, e.g. addiction (behavioural and physical), eating disorders, self harm, suicidal ideation, burn out / break downs, anxiety, depression and dissociative identity disorders. She also offers individual counselling and art psychotherapy for the aforementioned as well as OCD, grief & loss, anger management, toxic stress and existential and relational/attachment issues. She believes in empowering her clients through a holistic flexible approach so that they can embody new ways of living, connecting with greater purpose aligned to their values.
She has worked with people of all ages & backgrounds in numerous settings providing individual as well as group therapy in: Palliative, Cancer Rehabilitation, Caregivers' Support; Pastoral Support, Special Needs; Mental Institutions (public & private); Childrens' Homes, Girls' Homes, Primary and Secondary Schools & Family Service Centers.
She ran various past workshops: AHD Intro to Art Therapy (Child Development, Attachment & Trauma), Navigating Stress, Fear & Uncertainty, Parent Support group of children with chronic illnesses (Crohns Colitis Society Singapore), Grief Counselling (SBC), Personal Development (Creativity & Self, Art & Self-care), Art as therapy (SAMH); Psaltcare (Depression Support Group); Single Mothers Support Group (Care Corner FSC).
She follows frameworks in: Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Person-Centred Experiential & Existential Well-Being Counselling, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Positive Psychology, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy.
