Our experienced psychologists, educational diagnosticians and testing consultants take a structured approach to perform tests and develop recommendations customized to each individual's needs, from children to adults.

We use a broad range of proven assessment tools to test and identify the root of learning difficulties and behavioral or motivational issues. We interpret the test results in the context of a person's life, taking into account individual gifts and interests when making recommendations for improved learning. We make every effort to ensure the diagnostic testing process is a positive experience in a non-threatening and comfortable setting.

The tests we use are up-to-date and are accepted in Singapore and overseas. The report our psychologist will provide for you (hard copy or soft copy - your choice) is recognised for school admissions, submission to SEAB for exemptions etc. 

To Schedule for a Testing

  1. Initial Consultation
    The initial consultation helps us gather information about you, your child or other family members, which includes medical, family and educational histories. You will be asked to describe areas of concern which you or your family member is having difficulties with. From here, we determine the types of tests which are appropriate and make practical recommendations. Following this, you will be scheduled for testing. The initial consultation is S$240.00 and is part of the total cost for testing. The total cost for testing will depend on what tests and how many tests are administered.
  2. Evaluation
    We select the latest tools for tests from the fields of cognitive assessment, neuropsychological assessment, educational assessment, and social and emotional assessments.
  3. Feedback Session
    After completing the testing process, we meet to discuss and interpret the findings, their significance, and possible courses of action.
  4. Written Report
    We provide a detailed analysis and comprehensive recommendations as part of the test report. Supported by the findings from these tests, our recommendations form an indepth action plan that enable you or your family member to move forward with confidence.

Types of Diagnostic Tests
We provide an array of tests for cognitive, intelligence, behavioral, educational, relational, social, and emotional evaluation to suit the appropriate age and areas of concern of the person.

Cognitive/Intelligence Assessment
Individuals are required to perform both verbal and nonverbal tasks to obtain an estimate of general cognitive ability as compared to their peers. This assessment takes two to three hours. Tests in this category include:

  • Wechsler Primary and Preschool Scale of Intelligence - Fourth Edition (WPPSI-IV)
  • Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children - Fifth Edition (WISC-V)
  • Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale - Fourth Edition (WAIS-IV)
  • Wechsler Abbreviated Scale of Intelligence (WASI)
  • Test of Nonverbal Intelligence - Fourth Edition (TONI-4)
  • Woodcock Johnson III (WJ-III NU) Tests of Cognitive Abilities

Neuropsychological Assessment
This assessment includes both verbal and nonverbal tasks specially developed to evaluate the functioning of specific parts of the brain, as they relate to attention, executive function, language, memory, visual-spatial and visual-motor skills. This assessment takes two to four hours. Tests in this category include:

  • Test of Visual Motor Skills - 3rd Edition (TVMS-3)
  • A Developmental NEuroPSYchological Assessment (NEPSY-II)
  • Behavior Rating Inventory of Executive Function (BRIEF)

Social and Emotional Assessment
Low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, poor social skills and a host of other emotional and behavioral issues can contribute to poor functioning of an individual. We may use a range of objective and projective measures to better understand these issues. This assessment takes one to two hours. Tests in this category include:

  • Children Depression Rating Scale (CDRS)
  • Conners - Third Edition (Conners 3)
  • Clinical Assessment of Attention Deficit - Adult
  • Thematic Apperception Test (TAT)
  • Developmental Assessment of Young Children (DAYC)
  • Beck Depression Inventory -Child, Youth and Adult (BDI)
  • Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI)

Educational Assessment
To gain a better understanding of learning problems, individuals will be asked to perform a variety of tasks to fully assess academic skills such as reading, writing, and mathematics. This assessment takes two to four hours. Tests in this category include:

  • Wechsler Individual Achievement Test - Third Edition (WIAT-III)
  • Norris Education Achievement Test (NEAT)

Learning Disability Related Assessment
This assessment focuses primarily on disabilities which affect the academic and social functioning of children and adults. This assessment takes two to three hours. Tests in this category include:

  • Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule - Second Edition (ADOS-2)
  • Autism Diagnostic Interview - Revised (ADI-R)
  • Dyslexia Screening Test (DST)
  • Childhood Autism Rating Scales - Second Edition (CARS-2)
  • Clinical Assessment of Attention Deficit - Adult (CAT-A)

Relationship/Family Systems Assessment
This assessment tool has been proven to be most proficient in helping family members and couples understand the dynamics of their relationship to facilitate meaningful changes during therapy. This assessment takes one to two hours. Tests in this category include:

  • Family Relations Test: Children's Version (FRTC)
  • Marital Satisfaction Inventory (MSI-R)
  • Parenting Stress Index (PSI)
  • Parent-Child Relationship Inventory (PCRI)
  • PREmarital Personal and Relationship Evaluation (PREPARE)

Mental Health Assessment
This assessment tool is often used as part of intervention in individual and group therapy to help clients move forward in their support plan after the assessment phase. This assessment takes one to two hours. Tests in this category include:

  • Postpartum Depression Screening Scale (PDSS)
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorders for Children and Adolescents (PTSD-CA)
  • Suicide Probability Scale (SPS)
